A backlink or page has to be indexed (in Google's index, the library it answers from) before it can count in search or in AI answers built on that index, so the way a tool charges for misses matters. Below: how each works, pricing, checks, refunds, reporting, API and MCP (Model Context Protocol: a standard way for AI assistants such as Claude or Cursor to use a tool directly), and when to choose each.
Which is right for you: SpeedyIndex or FreshlyCited?
SpeedyIndex fits if your priority is the lowest list price per indexed Google link, tokens that never expire, Bing and Yandex index checks, or running tasks from a Telegram bot. FreshlyCited fits if you want one push that checks first and skips links Google already has, client-ready reports for agency work, IndexNow (an open "this page changed" notice that Bing and other participating engines accept; Google doesn't use it) for your own sites, or an MCP server for AI assistants.
How does SpeedyIndex work, and how does FreshlyCited?
SpeedyIndex takes a list of URLs, sends them to Google, and reports at day 7. FreshlyCited checks each link against Google first, pushes only the ones Google can't see, and re-checks them on days 1, 3 and 7.
SpeedyIndex describes four steps: upload links, "We Send Googlebot", results from 48–72 hours, then a "Final Report + Auto-Refund" on day 7 (SpeedyIndex). It says it works by "dispatching the real mobile Googlebot directly to your URLs" and guarantees "the real mobile Googlebot will visit every URL you submit", while adding that "We cannot guarantee a 100% indexation rate". Those are SpeedyIndex's own statements, which we haven't tested. It doesn't need Search Console access, so it works for backlinks on sites you don't own. The service is run by VS Nettipalvelu Tmi in Helsinki, according to the site's footer.
You can work with SpeedyIndex in a web app, through the @SpeedyIndexBot Telegram bot ("Indexing & index checking for Google, Yandex, Bing"), a Chrome extension or the API. Its FAQ gives up to 100,000 URLs per uploaded file on the pay-per-result tariff.
FreshlyCited's smart push runs in one flow:
- Paste or upload links, up to 10,000 per push. A pre-flight check flags dead,
noindex, blocked or redirected pages so you can skip them free. - Check. Each link comes back Seen by Google or Invisible, at 1 check credit each.
- Push only the invisible ones. The rest show Already seen — not pushed.
- Re-check on days 1, 3 and 7, with an email after each.
Both offer drip-feed: SpeedyIndex spreads a pay-per-result task over 2–30 days through its API, and FreshlyCited's drip-feed pushes spread sending over 1–30 days.
How do SpeedyIndex and FreshlyCited price indexing?
SpeedyIndex sells token packages with two Google tariffs; FreshlyCited sells index credits and check credits, with a free tier and monthly Agency plans.
As of October 2026, SpeedyIndex lists these packages, and its FAQ prices the main Google tariff, pay-per-result, at 100 tokens per indexed link (SpeedyIndex FAQ: Service cost per 1 link):
SpeedyIndex package | Price | Tokens | Per indexed Google link | Per Google index check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Start | $5 | 5,000 | $0.1000 | $0.0030 |
Basic | $20 | 30,000 | $0.0667 | $0.0020 |
Standart | $50 | 120,000 | $0.0417 | $0.0013 |
Professional | $100 | 250,000 | $0.0400 | $0.0012 |
Business | $250 | 700,000 | $0.0357 | $0.0011 |
Enterprise | $500 | 1,500,000 | $0.0333 | $0.0010 |
The second tariff, "Pay only for delivery to Google", charges "1 submitted link = 30 tokens" with no indexing refund, a daily limit of 35,000 links, and is available from a $250 top-up. SpeedyIndex also gives "100 free tokens" on sign-up with no card, accepts card, PayPal and several cryptocurrencies, and offers an optional subscription with "+10% bonus tokens on every renewal" (SpeedyIndex).
FreshlyCited has a free tier (10 free links to try, then 100 free checks a month; no card, just a verified email), one-time packs from $0.16 per indexed link, and Agency plans from $59 a month. A standard check costs 1 check credit, from $0.004. Current prices are on the FreshlyCited pricing table. Pack credits last 12 months.
How does each tool check whether a link is indexed?
SpeedyIndex runs index checks as separate tasks, for Google, Bing and Yandex. FreshlyCited checks Google as the first step of every push.
SpeedyIndex's bulk checker costs 3 tokens per Google check and 2 per Bing or Yandex check, takes "up to 100,000 URLs in a single file", and exports Excel reports (SpeedyIndex Google Index Checker). For indexing tasks, its FAQ suggests a pre-flight routine: strip 404s and 5xx errors, catch redirect loops, remove noindex pages, and "See which URLs are already indexed with the Google Index Checker so you only submit the rest". It doesn't say whether a URL that was indexed before you submitted it is charged on pay-per-result.
FreshlyCited builds that routine into the push. The pre-flight check flags pages that can't be indexed, the Google check marks each link, and links Google already has aren't pushed. Updated pages Google already has are skipped too, unless you choose Refresh anyway (1 index credit, no credit back). Check credits aren't refundable. FreshlyCited checks Google only: for Bing it reports Sent to Bing, not indexed status. For a manual approach, see our backlink index checker guide.
If you'd rather not run the check and the push as two jobs, check your backlinks free and push only the invisible ones.
What happens to your tokens or credits when a link isn't indexed?
Both tools give back the token or credit for a link that isn't indexed after day 7, as balance rather than cash. Both exclude pages that can't be indexed.
| SpeedyIndex (pay-per-result) | FreshlyCited |
|---|---|---|
When it's decided | Day-7 report | Day-7 re-check |
What comes back | Tokens, automatically, "no support request needed" | Index credit, automatically |
Not covered | "404, 403, redirect loop, robots.txt block, noindex tag" | 404/410/5xx, |
Drip-feed timing | Refunds complete "7 days after the last drip batch" | Each link re-checked on days 1, 3 and 7 |
Pay-per-submission option | No refund for non-indexing | Not offered |
Sources: SpeedyIndex FAQ.
For money already paid, SpeedyIndex's refund policy (last updated June 2026) says "payments are non-refundable" once credits are added, with exceptions for duplicate charges and credits that never arrived. Its FAQ separately describes a 14-day window for an unused package bought by mistake, so check the current policy before you buy. Google still decides what it indexes: Google says crawling "can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks" (Google Search Central).
What reporting does each tool give you?
SpeedyIndex gives a day-7 report per task and Excel exports; FreshlyCited gives a before-and-after view per push and a shareable client report.
SpeedyIndex's day-7 report "shows each URL's status: Indexed / Not Indexed. Includes 404 error count and preliminary indexation percentage" (SpeedyIndex). Its checker exports Excel sheets with index status and page titles, and the API's full report adds error codes such as -1 for a noindex tag. White-label or client-branded reports: not published.
FreshlyCited emails you after each re-check and shows each push's result ("33 of 40 seen by Google", illustrative). You can share a white-label client report with each link's before-and-after status: your logo on Agency Starter ($59 a month), full white-label on Agency Pro and Agency Scale.
Do SpeedyIndex and FreshlyCited have an API or MCP server?
Both have a REST API. FreshlyCited also has an MCP server; SpeedyIndex doesn't publish one.
SpeedyIndex API v2, as of October 2026 (API documentation):
- Auth with an API key from the Telegram bot settings or your dashboard.
- Tasks for
google, yandexorbing, up to 10,000 links per request. "Bing ONLY supports the checker task type. Indexer for Bing is not available." - For the Google indexer, pay-per-result mode "must be true" through the API, with optional drip-feed of 2–30 days.
- Endpoints for balance, task lists, status, full reports, a single-link submit and backlink checks (2 tokens per donor URL).
- MCP server: not published. WordPress plugin: not published.
FreshlyCited: the full REST API comes with any pack or Agency plan (read-only on the free tier). The MCP server at https://freshlycited.com/mcp (OAuth 2.1 or an API key) is on Agency Pro ($199 a month) and Agency Scale ($599 a month). See the FreshlyCited API and MCP server and the Claude Code setup guide.

How did we check these facts?
We read each SpeedyIndex page linked above on October 17, 2026. To confirm the token prices on its live FAQ, we pulled every pricing rule from the page:
curl -s https://en.speedyindex.com/faq/ \
| grep -o -E "1 (indexed|submitted) link = [0-9]+ tokens" | sort -u1 indexed link = 100 tokens
1 indexed link = 20 tokens
1 submitted link = 30 tokensThe 100-token rule is Google pay-per-result, 20 tokens is Yandex indexing, and 30 tokens is Google pay-per-submission. We re-check these facts each quarter and before any edit; if something is out of date, tell us.
Want to see which of your backlinks Google already has before you pay to index them? Start with a free check: FreshlyCited marks each link Seen by Google or Invisible, pushes only the invisible ones, and re-checks them on days 1, 3 and 7.
